Get rid of unsightly spider and varicose veins

Spider and varicose veins can be treated by sclerotherapy – injections of a chemical solution into the affected blood vessel, which then collapses and is absorbed by the body. This causes the vein to close. The procedure takes 15 to 30 minutes. Compression stockings and/or elastic bandages may be required for severaldays to maintain pressure on the treated vein. Sclerotherapy generally does not require any recovery period. The patient can resume normal activities after the treatment. Walking, bicycling, swimming and low impact exercice are allowed.
